Vocation Day at St. Augustine Catholic School

January 30, 2015

ProfessionAt the invitation of Sr. Emmanuella, DRE at St. Augustine School in NW Washington, on the last day of Catholic Schools’ Week, Fr. Christopher and Bro. Samuel participated with other religious order presenters in a morning devoted to vocations to consecrated life. The assembly was for students in grades three to eight. After each order representative made an oral presentation, the students came around to the tables where there were brochures, holy cards, and other handouts. Those who came to our table could ‘earn’ a blessed St. Benedict medal by passing a 5-question quiz on the Old Testament or Catholic faith and life. Bro. Samuel and Fr. Christopher enjoyed their youthful enthusiasm and their zeal to win a holy medal, as all who tried did.
